My name is Eli, and I live in Sydney, Australia.

I am a Professional Chef with more than 12 years of experience in the field; I grew up in Milan, Italy, and I’ve been very interested in food since a very young age.

I love cooking; most importantly, I love how food can connect different cultures and life moments together.

For me, food isn’t just about eating; it is about everything around it, about all the stories behind it, and how different cultures and societies embrace food as culinary science and social gathering moments.

That’s why I started traveling 20 years ago with a particular focus on discovering foods and cultures around the world. It opened up so many different stories and experiences that are truly unforgettable; including people that love food and experience it sometimes radically different from my Mediterranean roots.

I have worked in restaurants in Milan, London, Nice, St. Moritz, Singapore, Melbourne, and Sydney, where I finally ended up living for a few years now.

Lately, my personal and professional discovery on food has been mind-blowing; I’ve developed a very big interest in Asian and North/South American Cuisine, as Australia’s growing culinary industry has been influenced by so many different cuisines and styles of cooking in the last few years.

Of course, I will never forget my Mediterranean roots, and this is still the food that I slightly enjoy the most, but I never thought as an Italian I would have been impressed with other cuisines from around the world (I don’t want to sound too arrogant but I still believe Italian food has an overall edge over other cuisine considering the variety of cooking styles and amount of ingredients used).

On this website, you will find everything (food trends, cheeses and street food, etc.) that I have discovered and learned through the years as a Chef and traveler, everything about food that I know and that I’m still discovering, some of the best recipes that I have used and I believe are top quality and some of my very best recipes that I still keep in my secret notepad and usually do not share with anyone.

That’s why I have created this Blog to share my knowledge because, after all, I love cooking and sharing these things with everyone, usually over a glass of good red wine.
