Coming Back from Dell Hell

I was skeptical when Jeff Jarvis had his much-discussed run-in with Dell.

At the time, I’d had my Dell desktop for a while with no problems. Little did I know…

Spent a couple of hours yesterday on the phone trying to get them to stop trying to make an incompatible part work! They said no fewer than three times it was the wrong part, why couldn’t they just go with that and let me go about my business? That would’ve been cheaper and less aggravating for both of us.

Well, in spite of Dell’s best efforts I’m back with the old part and hobbling along. Hopes this holds us until we get the new box — from Gateway!
